Odds and Ends Frog Doll

Glue, flour, toilet paper, sheetrock mud--combine these strategically...and make a Frog Doll out of them:

Tile Mosaic

'Foxy' left me some buckets of scrap tile in a variety of colors...I had some fairly flat beach rocks from Alaska and those glass dragon tears...so I gave it a go on an old kitchen cabinet, pulling off some old linoleum first. It took longer than I thought to puzzle the pieces together, resorting to a hammer to crack some smaller bits. 'Hideous', I thought at first. But after grouting with a color called Linen, it isn't quite so bad. I probably should of spent more time with a thoughtful design, but oh, well--my sewing machine sits here and covers it all up!

A Drawing...Someday!

Someday I want to draw this man's boat/home--I love it--so unique! I only got a couple pics though...

No. That's Trash Talk!

I do not think my grandbaby bears any resemblance to this man at all, Brigham.

Back to Alaska. Back to the Future.

Can't wait to see wee Emery; a couple more days--just thinking of it brings tears!
Here's the island that Nate was constructing last time I was there...but the countertops have been tiled/grouted by them both and Bailey has painted a cute floral design on the water heater cover built out of leftover boards (by the woodstove)--their outbuildings are full of stuff! Cute idea!
Which reminds me...I said I couldn't wait to visit the dump! Gah-- how bad is that--an ideal vacation for me is rummaging through leftover crap. I am not a typical traveler. "Are there any abandoned shipyards, boats, and junky places?" I ask. Bailey informs me private property is OFF LIMITS!
Did you know a typical Alaska vehicle game is counting blue tarps!? I learned this from Bailey's backyard neighbor relatives. Tee hee. Must be like "The Cow Game" in KS. I guess little Emery will count moose and eagles! and he won't have far to look when some are camping out on your porch...
